The new Welding Service extends meviy’s sheet metal capabilities beyond individual cut and bent parts. Cutting, bending, welding, and surface finishing can now be handled in one streamlined workflow, making it easier to source welded sheet metal assemblies from a single supplier.

After introducing Trivalent Chromate Passivation (SurTec 650) for CNC milling and sheet metal parts in April 2026, meviy is continuing this expansion with the May release by adding CNC turning parts. This means the surface treatment is now available across all major meviy manufacturing services, covering CNC milling, CNC turning, and sheet metal fabrication.

meviy now offers a DXF download feature that lets customers create drawing files directly in the interface after a part number has been issued. This makes it easier to use part drawings for documentation, inspection, and version management. The DXF file is generated based on the geometry and specifications defined during the quotation process.
This new feature allows customers to define an effective depth tolerance for precision holes and slotted holes. By making these tolerances selectable, meviy gives users more control over hole specifications and helps ensure that parts are manufactured more accurately according to their requirements.

meviy expands surface treatment options for NAK55 equivalent materials, enabling improved wear resistance and
corrosion protection for tooling applications.
Tooling components often require specific surface treatments to increase durability and prevent corrosion. Until now,
finishing options for NAK55 equivalent materials were limited within the meviy workflow.
With this update, customers can now select Chamfer & Radius (C/R) as an additional option, enabling R0.2 or larger rounding on outer edges and C1 chamfering at corners, providing a more defined and consistent edge finish.
Long or stepped shafts that previously fell outside meviy’s supported machining range can now be processed more reliably. With the expanded length-to-diameter support, more of these geometries are now eligible for instant quotation.
meviy now supports tighter machining tolerances down to ±0.01 mm via Manual Quote (MQ), enabling production grade precision for assembly-critical components. For assembly-critical parts, even minimal deviations can cause fitting issues or rework. With this release, you can now specify ±0.01 mm tolerances directly from your CAD upload, while suitable parts are routed through Manual Quote without interrupting the ordering process.
