The sizes suitable for automatic quotes can vary depending on the selected material, as different materials have specific machining characteristics and processing requirements. Factors such as material hardness, tool wear, cutting conditions, and machine accessibility influence the minimum and maximum dimensions that can be manufactured automatically. As a result, the size limits for instant quoting may differ between metals and plastics, and certain combinations of material and geometry may require manual review instead of an automatic quote.
Production of turned parts is a machining service that not only includes the turning of internal and external diameters, grooves and threads, but also the wire-cutting of shapes that require additional machining. The following shapes are currently possible, and the range of supported shapes is constantly being expanded.
We offer a wide range of threads for various applications:
Nominal diameters: Our threads are available in a variety of nominal diameters, from M2 to M50, to meet the requirements of different projects.
Internal and external threads: Our threads can be added both internally and externally, depending on the specific requirements of your design. We offer threaded holes for internal threads as well as screws and bolts for external threads.
Right-hand threads and left-hand threads: We offer both right-hand threads and left-hand threads. Right-hand threads are tightened clockwise, while left-hand threads are tightened counterclockwise. This versatility allows you to choose the right thread for your specific needs.
Components for which no automatic quote is available with the desired specifications or for which the desired quantity exceeds the automatic quote range can be requested manually using the “Request manual quote” button. To do this, upload the 3D CAD file as usual and click on “Request manual quote” at the bottom left. A meviy support employee from the technical service will get back to you within 1–2 working days after carefully checking your request.
