Available Sizes

The part sizes eligible for automatic quotes depend on the selected material, as each material has specific machining characteristics and constraints. Factors such as hardness, machinability, and tool accessibility influence the maximum and minimum dimensions that can be processed automatically. As a result, size limits may vary between metals and plastics. Designs that exceed these limits or require special handling may require manual review, while standard geometries within the supported range can be quoted instantly.

Available Shapes

The illustrations below outline which machining features are supported by meviy and which are not. CNC milling with meviy is based on 3-axis machining, allowing parts to be processed from up to six sides. Features such as diagonal holes to angled surfaces cannot be manufactured. Closed pockets must include corner radii to accommodate end mills, while open pockets can be produced without radii. Vertical and horizontal bores, including multiple holes, slotted holes, and counterbores, are supported. Chamfers can be manufactured up to a maximum size of C15.

Hole Types for CNC Milled Parts

In the machining service, various form elements are carefully identified and classified as holes to meet the specific requirements of each project. Holes can be customized, either as straight or precision holes, depending on the requirements and functionality of the hole.

Under certain criteria, it is possible to change the diameter of a hole and convert it into threaded holes, through holes or countersunk holes to suit the wide range of applications.

Both single-stage and two-stage bores allow for flexible design options where the design of the bore can be adjusted and toleranced at each step to ensure maximum precision and efficiency.
